Pool Buying Guide

There's nothing quite like relaxing in your own pool and letting the world drift by on a warm summer's day. Whether you're shopping for a larger, framed pool for all the family to enjoy or simply a smaller, inflatable pool for the kids, we've got you covered. We strongly recommend that children are supervised by a responsible adult at all times when using a pool.

Paddling Pools

Paddling pools are fantastic for getting small children used to the water. They're shallow, colourful and allow children to enjoy the water safely; they can simply stand in the pool and kick the water about or sit down and get a better feel for the water. Paddling pools are incredibly simple to assemble and the rust resistant frames will last you for years to come. For family parties and barbecues, paddling pools are superb for keeping small children occupied and happy.

Inflatable Pools

Inflatable pools are cheap and simple to assemble, making them ideal for family parties and general summer time relaxation. An average sized inflatable pool (10 foot) will usually hold around 3,600 litres of water. To erect an inflatable pool, simply find a large enough area free of stones and other sharp objects, lay the pool out and then connect a pump to the connector to inflate. Many inflatable pools can be fully inflated within 10 minutes, so you'll be able to take a dip in no time. Inflatable pools are available in a range of sizes, from smaller models for children to bigger 10 foot models that all the family can enjoy. Not all inflatable pools come equipped with a pump, but electric pumps can be purchased. For ease of access and protection from the sun, larger pools often come equipped with a handy step ladder a large sun canopy.

Framed Pools

For a longer lasting, sturdier pool, consider purchasing a framed model. Their durable liner and rigid pole structure reduces their risk of being damaged by both people and the weather. Framed pools are generally deeper and have a greater circumference than inflatable pools, meaning more people can get in the pool at once. This makes framed pools ideal for parties and larger families. Due to the deep nature of framed pools, adult supervision is recommended when children are playing in them. To give your framed pool even more life, repair kits are usually included in the package, allowing you to easily fix any holes and gashes that may appear in the pool's lining over time.

Home Jacuzzis and spas can be used in a variety of ways. In the winter months, set one up outside for a place to get warm and relax in colder temperatures. In summer and spring, they can be the centre piece of an evening barbecue or family party. You can even locate them inside the house for a place to chill out in at the weekend or after a hard day's work.

Our home spas come equipped with a maintenance guide, chemical floater and filter cartridge, allowing you to keep your spa safe and hygienic to use.

Pool Accessories

  • Pool Heater - Pool heaters maintain a water temperature between 5° and 40°. This allows you to swim and paddle comfortably, even when the weather isn't particularly warm. We recommend experimenting with different temperature settings until you find the one that you feel most comfortable with. Our heaters are suitable for any 15 foot or smaller pool. An instruction manual is provided with the heater to help you set it up.
  • Pool Cover - Pool covers fit around the 'lip' of a pool to provide a protective sheet against the weather, animals and children. If you're planning on leaving your pool outside when not in use, then a pool cover will prevent rain water from collecting inside the pool. A cover will also deter children and animals from climbing inside the pool and potentially damaging it.
  • Electric Pump - If you purchase an inflatable pool that doesn't come with a pump device, then an electric pump will be a worthwhile investment. They're usually quite cheap and allow you to inflate and deflate your pool in rapid time. Our electric pumps come with 3 different nozzles to suit a variety of pools.
